The greenhouse effect is the naturally occurring phenomenon that keeps the earth warm. The solar energy that comes from the sun gets absorbed by water, land and the atmosphere and is then radiated back as heat into the atmosphere, certain gases in the earth’s atmosphere prevent some of this heat from leaving the earth’s atmosphere.
