Global Initiative for Food Security and Ecosystem Preservation- GIFSEP and Lush Cosmetics Inc. (Lush) have agreed to a one-year funding relationship whereby, Lush is providing a charitable grant towards providing solar energy to 240 households in Bakassi internally displaced person’s camps Maiduguri, Nigeria. The project will also train 50 women and 50 men to install and maintain simple home solar systems and it will conduct a workshop to train 100 women and 100 men on environmental stewardship, renewable energy and climate.
