To promote women-led renewable energy advocacy in Nigeria, the Global Initiative for Food Security and Ecosystem Preservation (GIFSEP) is thrilled to announce a new collaboration with The Social Change Nest (SCN) through support from the Urban Movement Innovation Fund (UMIF). This initiative aims to drive climate justice and a just energy transition through the active participation and empowerment of women. It will equip women from fossil fuel-impacted communities with practical skills in solar energy and empower them to lead community campaigns for change. The signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) formalized the partnership, which seeks to address energy poverty and promote sustainable livelihoods, a significant step toward a cleaner, more equitable energy future.
